This is a general announcement that we will have a garden work session this coming Sunday, 3-16-14 starting at
12:00 noon with:
- weed pulling,
- vinegar spraying demonstration and
- Copper Gazette doing a photo shoot of Darrell Jr. working with his two mentors.
Most
are aware of the invasive nature of the Morning Glory we have in the
garden. This year we are determined to put that in check. Since we are
organic and will not use most pesticides, we've identified concentrated
vinegar
(20% strength) mixed with citric acid as a way to kill the Morning
Glory back to its roots. We've a test section in the garden on which
to try this out - Come Watch!
