On
Friday afternoon the Sheriff’s Office received information from Modesto P. D.
regarding a wanted felon known to carry firearms and body armor (name withheld)
in a room at Rosalinda’s Gentlemen’s Club. The club was put under surveillance
until Swat teams could form a perimeter. Continual announcements to surrender
were given over a loud speaker for several hours without results. Tear gas was
used multiple times in the room where the suspect was thought to be, also
without results. A robot with a camera was put into the room but did not locate
the suspect. An entry team was sent in and determined the suspect was no longer
in the area. 29 year old Parolee at Large, Tanisha Flaherty of Modesto, who was traveling with the suspect,
was taken into custody. Another Parolee, 37 year old Stephen Frederick of
Oakdale, was taken into custody for a parole violation. A third arrest was made
on 28 year old Nicolet Schmidt, who was charged with Carrying a Concealed
Firearm. The original suspect in this case is still being sought.
