Hayden Lee went 4-4 at the plate, helping the Tigers to an 11-6 victory over the Giants on Saturday at Frogtown.
He singled in the first, second, fourth, and fifth innings.
Cody Roessler got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. The Tigers pitcher struck out four, walked none and surrendered three hits.
The Tigers never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on an RBI single by Lee and a bases loaded walk by Ryan Mercado.
The Tigers built upon their lead with five runs in the second. The inning looked promising, as Connor Barajas doubled, scoring Kevin Lowry and Roessler to kick things off. That was followed up by Javon Gilbert's single, bringing home Barajas and Lee.
Two of the Giants runs crossed the plate in the top half of the third, making the score 7-2. A two-run double by Apley sparked the Giants' rally. Lee ended the inning by getting McCrone to strike out.
The Tigers added four more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Barajas kicked things off with a single, scoring Lowry. That was followed up by Lee's single, plating Roessler.
After pushing across four runs in the top of the sixth, the EP four Giants faced just a 11-6 deficit. A walk by Ryan Kraft, a two-run double by Nelson, and an RBI single by Apley triggered the Giants' comeback.
