Michael Impink performing at Scarecrow Auction/Spaghetti Feed October 15, 2011

Michael has been performing live for "less than two years" at least for a "crowd of more than 10 people." The first song he played infront of a live audience was Bob Dylan's 'Knocking on Heaven's Door'.

Many have heard the magical voice and the talented acoustic sound of Bret Harte High Schooler Michael Impink at intermissions during a Town Square September concert, now they can put the name to the face and the music.

Michael is still on the fence about what music he will be perfomring at the Town Square Scarecrow Auction, though he will be playing guitar, singing, and possibly playing the piano. What ever he may choose is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Competing in the Copper Kids Idol and advancing to the Calaveras Idol were the first competitions Michael had participated in... and he was hooked. "The thrill every time you get up on stage, it's a sort of adrenaline you just can't beat. When you're up on stage performing, you get a feeling that you wouldn't mind doing this for the rest of your life."

Winning Copper Kids Idol was not only a dream, it was the validation he needed to believe in himself as an artist and to continue to reach for his dream though when performing he makes "sure to control myself and hold back from doing anything too risky." Inspired by his father who "taught me to perform," Michael claims his real inspiration came from "the one and only John Lennon."

Hoping to continue is the music industry either through performing or teaching is Michael's long term dream, again thanking his father saying, "My father was an aspiring singer/song writer and he passed a lot of his abilities on to me."
