During the first month at Copperopolis Elementary the student body held elections for 6 student council positions.

President: Chloe Caywood
Chloe's duties are to make decisions, make sure things run smoothly and keep everything in order.
Without missing a beat she said her mother, Andrea Caywood, inspires her.
Vice President: Alexis Watt
Alexis, a previous years sergeant at arms officer, said her duties are to help the President and to keep everyone in line.
Her mother Lisa and her father Ken, inspire her.
Secretary: Catelyn Baker
Catelyn's duties are to keep track of the meeting times, keep notes of all meetings and be organized. She said she loves to write.
Her father Dave and Michael Jackson inspire her.
Historian: Duncan Welch
Treasurer: Rebecca Vanden Bosch
Rebecca's duties are to keep a running balance of the school funds. Her favorite subject is math.
Her mother Janelle and British singer songwriter Ellie Goulding - inspire her.
Duncan's duties are to create a photgraphic history of the year and to hear what other children have to say about school and bring their ideas to the meetings.

In addition to elected student officers, there are class representatives from each grade that make up the entire student council.
The student council helps teachers implement programs designed to help the student body and promote spirit. They also listen to their peers and bring their ideas to the table for discussion.
