7-5-11- Calaveras County Coroner confirmed this am that Marvin Brown, a 52 year-old Valley Springs man passed, away July 4, 2011.
A Marvin Brown was admitted to Mark Twain Hospital on June 29, 2011 after receiving a beating that had left him in critical condition.
41 year-old James Livezey of Valley Springs was considered a person of interest. Calaveras County Deputies contacted Livezey at his residence and placed him under arrest for Battery with a Serious Injury. He is currently being held at Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $25,000 Bail.
Calaveras Coroner will not confirm that the Marvin Brown that passed away is the victim of the 6-29-11 battery, however, if it is the same man, Mr. Livezey could possibly be facing added charges of murder.
