According to a Calaveras County press release, murder suspect James Livezey was arrested in a remote area of Lake Hogan in the afternoon of July 12, 2011 without incident.
It was beilieved that Livezey had been camping in the remote area since July 4, 2011. Livezey told investigators that he had hiked around the backside of Hogan to the location where he was found.
Livezey was booked at the Calaveras County Jail for murder and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.
