Copper Woman Running for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Stacey Nolan, CAL FIRE firefighter and CFPD volunteer, will be running in a marathon this November to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Stacey is running this marathon in memory of her Uncle Sonny and Copper Fire Chief Dennis Powers, both taken away by diseases with no cure.
This is Stacey's second marathon. Her first was the Nike Woman's Marathon '09 in San Francisco.
To aid in her efforts, a local family has donated a hand stitched king top quilt to raffle for the cause. The quilt was made in the late '60's by Edie Cody, a gift for her son. It is completely cross stitched, and then hand quilted. It is a one-of-a-kind.
The quilt is on display in the Copperopolis library where tickets are available for purchase; 6 for $5.00 or $1.00 each.

"Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Nearly 958,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. I am hoping that my participation in Team In Training will help bring them hope and support."

Drawing to be held November 1, 2011. Need not be present to win.
