Nicole Lusk a resident of Copper since 2003 has a knack for beautifying everything. But her specialty lay in creating wonderful bows, headbands, and frilly tutu’s for the little princess in every girl.
Nicole’s inspiration for her beautiful creations came with the birth of her daughter Kyla in 2004. The creativity kicked up a notch with the birth of her second daughter Taleah two years later. Neither little girl left the house without a perfectly made bow in their long locks. Two years later, when Nicole was told she was having a little boy she was excited, but worried what creations she could make for a boy. Surprise, little Paisley was born. Not a boy.
With three little girls and her husband recently suffering a horrible accident, Nicole couldn’t afford “frilly” things for her little girls but dreamed of them looking like little princesses. This is when Nicole said she began “Paisleys and Polka Dots Bowtique” in earnest. It seemed everywhere she went people would comment on her daughters’ beautiful ‘hair pretties’ and wanted to know where they could get them.
“My mom helped me fund all the supplies I needed to get started...and is still my biggest supporter!” One friend helped her along the way by telling her of upcoming local events where she could show off her wares, giving her the confidence to succeed.
Today Paisleys and Polka Dots Bowtique is a name synonymous with ‘princess’. Nicole enjoys creating special one-of-a-kind hair pretties for her clients. She can also create bows and hair ties for entire cheerleading squads or dance troops. She has many hair bows already created, and many more to create. Prices range from $5.00 to $12.00 depending on the design.
