Many youth from Copperopolis are participating in the CSTARS production of Sleeping Beauty performances Saturday January 15, 2011, 2pm & 7pm, and Sunday January 16, 2011 - 2pm Matinee at the Bret Harte Theater. Pearl Rollings, Meagan & Shane Humphrey, Duncan & Trish Welch, Derek Loweree, Jordan Strauch, are but a few of the Copper kids performing in this exciting production.
CSTARS (Calaveras Sings! Theater Arts Repertory for Kids) is a local non profit theater company founded by a group of parents "committed to the idea of providing a children's theater company for the local children ... providing workshops and performance opportunities to children 5-18."
To date CSTARS has performed multiple plays for the community's enjoyment, the latest was the smash or should I say splash hit, The Little Mermaid.
