Sheriff Kuntz Dedicates new Jail and Sheriff Dept to 'Citizens of Calaveras County'

At the Aprill 11, 2014 Jail and Sheriff Dept dedication Sheriff Gary Kuntz dedicated the buildings to the "Citizens of Calaveras County."

"They paid for it, its their." Said Kuntz after the official ceremony.

Kuntz hopes, in the near future, to offer an after hours tour of the facilities, "for those who work and want to tour them."

Over 250 citizens took part in the tours of the two facilities immediately following the dedication.
