Two inmates walk away from Mule Creek State Prison

IONE – The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is searching for two inmates who were discovered missing from Mule Creek State Prison’s minimum security facility Wednesday morning.
Following a security check, the pair was confirmed missing at 10:50 am.
Authorities are searching for inmates Patrick Raines and Johnny Maciel.
Raines, 21,is a Caucasian male, 6’1” tall, weighing 213 lbs, with short blond hair and blue eyes. He was received from San Diego County and is serving a 6 year sentence for carjacking. He has a parole date of March 2016.
Maciel 37,is a Caucasian male, 6’0” tall, weighing 200 Lbs. with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was received from Placer County and is serving a 15 year, 4 month sentence for 2nd degree burglary. He has a parole date of June 2016.
Anyone with information regarding Raines or Maciel is asked to call 911, the Amador County Sheriff or Mule Creek State Prison at (209) 274-5955.
Mule Creek State Prison, which opened in 1987, houses approximately 2900 minimum, medium, and maximum-custody inmates. The prison, located in Amador County, provides educational, medical and mental health services and employs more than 1,400 people.
