Twisted Oak brings home the Gold at the Riverside International Wine Competition

One of our favorite competitions of the year is the Riverside International Wine Competition. The level of competition is high and they pull together an excellent corps of judges. It's especially gratifying when we do well in a competition like this.
This year, two Twisted Oak wines earned top honors:

- 2009 "River of Skulls" won a Gold medal, and also earned Best of Class for a wine based on the Mourvedre grape. The River of Skulls is made from 100% Mourvedre grapes grown at the Dalton Vineyard near Angels Camp in Calaveras County. For more information: http://www.twistedoak.com/skulls2009

- and 2009 "The Spaniard" also won a Gold medal. The Spaniard is our signature blend made from Tempranillo, Graciano, and Garnacha grapes grown in our own vineyards at the winery in Vallecito, Calaveras County. For more information: http://www.twistedoak.com/spaniard2009
