July 2, 2011 -According to Volunteer Firefighter Don Rollings, who was at the scene, the call came in at approximately 11:00 pm July 1, 2011 as a structure fire on Chuckwagon. Emergency crews were on scene within 4 minutes. At the time of the firefighters arrival Engineer Maness reported that the structure was 25% involved, by the time FF Rollings arrived 2 minutes later the structure was further involved, with the second story receiving the majority of the inferno and the first story just becoming involved. The scene was cleared at 5:30 the morning of July 2, 2011. Approximately 20 to 25 personnel responded to the fire.
The residents were displaced, red cross covered minimum expenses (hotel and food) for the next few days.
It is not known at this time if the fire is under investigation.
