The Copper Gazette wants your input for CCWD District candidate questions

As customary with the Copper Gazette, when we conduct candidate interviews we like to use questions posed by the constituents.

This said, would you please submit any questions you would like asked of those candidates seeking election to the CCWD board representing District 4 to coppergazette@gmail.com.
Your questions will be anonymous. Not all questions may be used as those that have a repetitive nature will most likely receive priority.

Thank you in advance for your participation in gleaning information from those who aspire to represent you.

Copper Gazette endorsements

The Copper Gazette does not endorse any candidate for political office.

We believe that each citizen should be informed and make their own educated decisions without influence from the press.

With this said, here are the links to the previous Copper Gazette interviews of candidates, each candidate was given the same questions pertaining to the office they are seeking and no interviews were posted for said office prior to receipt of all completed questionnaires:

Now 19 hopefuls for June 3rd election

Added to the list from last week are incumbent  Gary Kuntz for Sheriff and Thomas Meyer for Superior Court Dept One.

Thomas Meyer, a resident of Copperopolis, has held a Law Degree from UOP since 1972 and is a member of the California Bar Association and the Calaveras County Bar Association. According to the State Bar website, Meyer was disciplined in 2008 with a claim of "professional misconduct, receiving an actual suspension from practicing law" and a "two year probation." Since then his license has been inactive twice.
