RIM fire remains at 80% contained 9-5-13

Structures Threatened: 2,495 (1,900 residence, 5 commercial properties and 590 outbuildings threatened )  
Structures Destroyed:111 (11 residences, 97 outbuildings, 3 commercial)  
Evacuations: There are currently no mandatory or advisory evacuation orders effective in Mariposa or Tuolumne Counties, however there are roads that remain closed. Highway 120 at the Yosemite National Park boundary west to Buck Meadows has been evacuated.  
Road Closures :Highway 120 remains closed from Buck Meadows to 1 ½ miles east of White Wolf. Highway 120 east/Tioga Road remains open from 1 ½  
Injuries: 5  
Cause: Under Investigation 
Cooperating Agencies: CAL FIRE, USFS, CDCR, Mariposa County Sheriff, Tuolumne County Sheriff, California Conservation Corps, CHP, DOD, NWS, Pacific Gas and Electric, City and County of San Francisco Dept of Emergency Management., and the Red Cross.

Conditions: Successful firing operations continue on the fire’s southeast and northeast flanks, including north of the Tioga Road. On the west and north flanks, crews continue to patrol firelines and locate and extinguish any remaining heat. California Interagency Incident Management Team 1 (McGowan) assumed command of the Rim Fire yesterday. Yosemite National Park has closed Tamarack Flat and Yosemite Creek Campgrounds, both located along Tioga Road. White Wolf Campground and White Wolf Lodge remain closed. The Stanislaus National Forest has issued an area closure for the entire Groveland Ranger District and for the Mi-Wok Ranger District east of Highway 108.
