A joint memorial service will be held in San Francisco Friday to honor two of that city's bravest who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Lieutenant Vincent Perez and Firefighter-Paramedic Anthony Valerio lost their lives this week from injuries sustained in a Thursday morning house fire in the Diamond Heights area of San Francisco. The two were trapped in a flashover inside the hillside residence.
Brother Perez died Thursday morning. Brother Valerio died early Saturday after two days fighting for life. Their deaths were the first multiple fatality for the department in more than 60 years.
The joint funeral mass for Brothers Perez and Valerio will be held Friday, June 10th at 12:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 1111 Gough St., San Francisco, CA. Click here for map and directions.
A vigil for both brothers will be held Thursday evening at 7:00p at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption.

All deliveries of flowers should be delivered to St. Mary's Cathedral, 1111 Gough St., San Francisco, prior to 4 p.m. on June 9, 2011.
