John Campanella's 'Rock Show' ROCKED the town
At the Town Square September concert series concert on September 22, 2012 John Campanella's 'Rock Show' Rocked the town of Copperopolis. Rock lovers, young and old alike, gathered to hear and see the music of the '80's performed with enthusiasm, talent and panache by John and his back up singers, wife Dana and friend Martha Lane.
Though staying true to his heart and his passion for mentoring youth, John's 'Rock Show' was opened by many local youth bands playing their own style of rock and roll. The bands were diamonds in the rough with talent, drive, and above all a passion for music. This venue was the perfect setting for these young aspiring musicians to 'cut their teeth' and perform before a live audience of varying ages and backgrounds.
High energy was served in heaping helpings this evening as the music moved people to dance and sing and the children to run and play. The energy was palpable and contagious. Not to mention the array of '80's themed dress for the evening...a fun night for the whole family!

Murder, mayhem, cheating and lying - all part of the game - Murder Mystery Game
Murder, mayhem, cheating and lies were all just a part of the fun Saturday night at the Sports Pub's 1st Murder Mystery Dinner.
As the guests entered, some dressed in their finest 1920's designs, they were welcomed to the gala grand opening of the Four Deuces Speakeasy run by non other than Madam Meme (Charity Maness) and Don Wannabe (John Maness). As the play continued mob boss, loan shark and cradle robber Don "Big Jim" Ravioli (John Campanella) and his wife of one week, 19 year old Carrie Crooner (Dana Eldridge) pushed peoples buttons bragging of their power and talents. Big Jim's mother Baroness Ravioli (Corky Valencia) paraded around in all her glory flaunting her wealth thanks to her son, where as Big Jim's ex-wife Vicky Ravioli (Dena McAfee) seethed over his new marriage. Chicago Capo 'Toto' Tequila (Jimmy Valencia) was hoping to merge with Big Jim's empire by marrying Big Jim's daughter Rebecca (Tori Malfort) who wanted nothing to do with Toto as her heart was set on Rhett Bumbler (Bruce Reid) a no good gambler and unbeknownst to all...a hit-man...but for who? Inspector 'The Nut' Nutella (Stacey Nolan) was on the case!
The lights went out, shots were fired and as the lights came on Don 'Big Jim' Ravioli lay dead on the ground, shot with a revolver. As the evening wore on and people were sure they had figured out whodunit another murder occurred, and another, and another. With each murder the suspect pool was lessened. Until finally at 8 pm The Nut cracked the case and hauled off the killer....

If you missed this one...keep your ears open as Micki and Larry are already planning another one for the end of July or possibly the beginning of August... different era, different murder.
The show, sold out weeks before, hosted by the Sports Pub was a benefit to raise funds for the Lymphoma Leukemia Society.

John Campanella rocks Town Square
A bitter cold evening did not hinder the rock-n-roll spirit of guitarist John Campanella at the concert event "First Friday in Town Square" held on Friday November 4, 2011. Campanella merely changed his venue from the outside gazebo to Snaps Coffee House and Wine Bar where people sat cozily sipping wine listening to Campanella's musical talent....sweeping them back to the music of the '70's and '80's.
Engaging the crowd with his enthusiasm and his skill was an easy feat for Campanella who has been playing guitar since he was 13 and developing his own sound equipment by the age of 17.
Remembering the passion of his youth, Campanella embraces local youth musicians and mentors them. This 'First Friday' concert event highlighted two such talents that Campanella along with Josh Pfeiffer have mentored, 13 year old Jordan Strauch and 15 year-old Michael Impink.

Integrated Technology Making a Home in Copper
Electrical Engineer / Computer software designer John Campanella has decided to make Copperopolis the homeplace for his home system monitoring company SAH Technologies, Inc. Owned with three other partners, including the systems “brainchild” Randy Bresee (previously a software company CFO), John views the company as a benefit to the community through the imminent creation of jobs and expansion of opportunities in the area. Plus, it has the added benefit of allowing him to stay home and spend more time with his fiancée Dana (owner of the Beautique) and enjoy the beauty of the foothills. “I want o be a big part of the community…do things for the Fire Department, the school, the library.”
