Time to get your Destruction Derby Car ready for fair

Are you building your car yet? Get the official rules for the Calaveras County Fair Destruction Derby, May 19. They can be picked up at O'Reillys in Sonora, Angels Camp and Jackson, Napa in San Andreas and A1 Sharpening. They are also available at Frogtown.org.

New Home Arts Competition at Fair 'Cowboy Up'

The Home Arts Department will have a new competition at the 2013 Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee. The competition is called the “Cowboy Up” competition. Exhibitor’s compete in the following categories, salami, beer (making not drinking), jerky, salsa and peppers. Entry information about the Cowboy Up competition can be found in the Entry Guide Book at www.frogtown.org. Information about fair-time competitions including junior livestock, the junior fairboard, youth talent show and much more can be found at the Fair’s website.
