Injured Fire Captain Listed in Stable Condition
Fire Captain Sue Arrouzet, who was injured just after 10:30PM, November 12, 2011, in a partial structural collapse, is listed in stable condition with a serious back injury. Captain Arrouzet has been moved to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where she will start her rehabilitation process. Cards and well wishes may be sent to Sue Arrouzet, CAL FIRE TCU, 785 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, CA 95249. Sue and her family are sincerely thankful for the generous well wishes and offers of monetary donations. If people wish to make monetary donations Sue has requested such donations be made to the Ken Onstad Benevolent Fund (KOBF), 785 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, CA 95249. Please indicate Sue’s name on your donation. The Ken Onstad Benevolent Fund was established in 1998 to assist employees of the Tuolumne/Calaveras Unit of the California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection. Its primary purpose is to provide immediate assistance to employees and their families in the event of injury, illness, or any other tragic event that may occur.

CalFire news release - injured firefighter still serious condition - name released

Injured firefighter condition still listed as serious.
Two days after a structure fire sent a firefighter to the hospital, the injured CAL FIRE Captain remains in serious condition at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Fire Captain Sue Arrouzet, 45 of Tracy, has been with CAL FIRE for 22 years and is currently assigned to the CAL FIRE Copperopolis Fire Station. Captain Arrouzet remains in good spirits surrounded by family and co-workers and will likely be transferred to a San Francisco hospital for recovery.
The review into the accident remains on-going. The other two injured firefighters who sustained minor injuries were treated and released.

Update on injured CalFire Firefighter
As of 0830 11-14-11 A Captain with CalFire is still listed in serious condition this morning following the cpartial collapse of a burning building on 11-11-11.
According to the PIO in Sacramento, the Captain "is in good spirits considering" the severity of her injuries. The name is not being released at this time.
The injuries were sustained during a residential fire at Saddle Creek on 11-11-11 where multiple agencies responded.
Also injured, yet treated and released, were a CalFire firefighter and a Copperopolis Fire Protection District volunteer firefighter.
