On Saturday November 15, 2014 multiple small home businesses set out their wares for some pre Christmas shopping in a low key environment.
There was jewelry, candles, toys, handmade craft boxes, and more.

Umpqua Bank hosts a day to promote small local home based businesses
On September 3, 2014 Umpqua Bank of Copperopolis held a Ladies Day with vendors specializing in accessories, beauty and more designed for women. The difference with this event...the businesses were all home based small local businesses.
The home based businesses represented were:
Do Terra Essential Oils - Amy Range, L'Bri - Barbara Storey, Origami Owl - Erica Denney, Scentsy - Tammy Herrin, Discovery Toys - Arlene Gianelli, Chic Sisters Creations, Party Lite Candles - Betty Oneta, Cake Pops and Bead-utiful Designs - Cheryl Fechner.

James D Piper VFW Post 12118 Ladies Auxiliary press release re: Recognition of Umpqua Bank
On June 27, 2014, representatives from the Copperopolis James D Piper VFW Post 12118 Ladies Auxiliary recognized Umpqua Bank – Copperopolis store - for their ongoing support of the VFW Auxiliary's 'Support the Troops' care packages campaign.
With the help of Umpqua Bank and continued community support, the Copperopolis VFW Ladies Auxiliary has been able to ship 19 packages to troops overseas just this year. Many of those boxes were shipped to local Calaveras residents serving our country overseas.
Last year, again with help from Umpqua Bank and the community, the VFW Auxiliary was able to send over 25 boxes to our troops.
If you would like to donate to the ‘Support the Troops’ campaign you may mail checks to VFW Post 12118, PO Box 584, Copperopolis, CA 95228. Please put support our troops in the memo line.
If you would like shipments sent to someone near and dear to your heart serving overseas, please email the full address of the service member to the Ladies Auxiliary at coppervfw@gmail.com with Ladies VFW in the subject line.

Donation to Calaveras Community Foundation - press release
Calaveras Community Foundation
(CCF) recently received a $750 donation from Umpqua Bank.
Diana Scaparro-Cammisa, Umpqua
Bank San Andreas Store Manager, states: “Community is at the heart of all we do
at Umpqua Bank and we are proud to make a contribution of $750.00 to CCF. We know this will promote wellness and
stability in our Calaveras County communities, specifically in regards to youth
development, education and the arts.”
Umpqua has additional branches in Angels Camp, Copperopolis, and Valley
Springs.
CCF distributes funds, like this
donation, during its annual grant-giving period just completed for 2012. Nearly
$48,000 was distributed during this year’s grant period. Community groups focusing on youth, fire safety,
theatre, music, special needs children, history, art, food pantries and much
more were recipients of 2012’s grants. Incorporated in 2000, the Foundation has
provided more than $650,000 in competitive grants, scholarships and assistance
during that period.

UMPQUA Bank expands Financial Literacy program to serve families, teachers and kids
Portland, Ore. – Oct. 29, 2012 –
Umpqua Bank
has developed a comprehensive
financial literacy program available to parents, teachers and children
throughout Oregon, Washington, California and Nevada. Called Learn to
Earn, the program inherits its name from the bank’s existing on-campus
banking program for students in grades kindergarten
through eighth grade. The enhanced program offers parents, teachers and
children a full suite of financial literacy resources, including: easy
to implement financial literacy tips for children in preschool to fifth
grade, savings products to help parents and
children save together, a kid-friendly savings calculator, and
recommended reading lists that encourage responsible money management
through storytelling.

Umpqua Bank Customer Appreciation a hotdoggin' good time
Umpqua Bank has shown their community support over and over again in our small town, yet continue their outreach with no sign of slowing down.
On Friday August 31, 2012 the Copperopolis Umpqua Bank Branch held a customer appreciation day featuring hot dogs, chips, homemade potato salad, homemade carrot cake and cookies, as well as lemonade, tea and water. Serving approximately 60 people, store manager Iris Larson felt the day was a success.
Utilizing the community outreach to also deliver information regarding current mortgage promotions, the bank was successful in reaching many interested parties.

Once again the Copperopolis Umpqua Bank is showing its commitment to our community by collecting donations of much needed school supplies for Copper kids.
