On Monday 10-7-13
at about 0050 hours, the California Highway Patrol released a
Be-On-The-Lookout broadcast for a blue Chevy Blazer stolen from Black
Oak Court in Arnold.
On this same date at about 0250 hours, suspicious activity was
reported to the Sheriff’s Office around a room at a motel on Highway 4
in Arnold. One of the vehicle’s described as associated with this call
matched that of the stolen vehicle, but they left prior to deputies’
arrival. Crystal Towle (25 of Arnold) was contacted in the area and
after a subsequent investigation, she was arrested on three counts of
stolen property. Items located in Towle’s motel room belonged to the
victim of the vehicle theft as well as stolen property from two other
theft victims.
Towle was transported to the CCSO jail and booked for 496(a)PC - receiving stolen property.
On this same date at about 0800 hours, the stolen Chevy Blazer was
located along Highway 4 between Murphys and Arnold and was recovered by
the California Highway Patrol.
