New Melones Reservoir is open.
We just recieved word from the Bureau of Reclamation that they have
unlocked the gates to the Tuttletown and the Glory Hole recreation
areas. It has been a long few weeks of waiting. It will be nice to be
able to use and enjoy our lake again.
The fishing
should be very good. The fish have not been pressured and should be
eager to bite. The water temperature continues to drop which will
encourage the fish to move to shallow water and feed. Also, the lake
level is fairly stable and dropping very little each week.
