Angels Camp PD pressrelease re: “Maximum Enforcement Night.”

On 04/12/13, from 2 PM until midnight, the Angels Camp PD, in cooperation with the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a “maximum enforcement” operation. Officers and deputies were assigned to work in Angels Camp and the surrounding area to conduct “post-release community supervision” (AB 109) searches, as well as probation and parole searches. Additionally, officers and deputies were instructed to look out for impaired drivers and other subjects that are under the influence of alcohol and / or narcotics.
As a result of the operation the following arrests and searches were made;
·         Two (2) subjects were arrested for outstanding warrants
·         Six (6) people were cited for either driving without a license or driving on a suspended driver license
·         Two (2) people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and / or narcotics
·         One (1) citation was issued for possession of marijuana
·         One (1) “post-release community supervision” search was conducted, and one (1) probation search was conducted
