Black Oak Casino Resort Donates to the Sober Grad Night Foundation

The Sober Grad Night Foundation has received a $1000 donation on behalf of Black Oak Casino Resort from the Calaveras Community Foundation. This is the 24th year the Sober Grad Night Foundation has been conducting grad night festivities, and Black Oak Casino has been a longstanding underwriter of the costs to provide this valuable event.

“As we embark on planning for the 2013 grad night celebration, Black Oak Casino Resort has once again stepped up to provide valuable support to defray the costs of the celebration in Calaveras County,” said Seanne Swann, President of Grad Night Foundation in Calaveras County.  “On behalf of Mark Seim, Chair of the Bret Harte Sober Grad Night Committee, and Cindy Boitano, Chair of the Calaveras Sober Grad Night Committee, we thank the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians, proud owners of Black Oak Casino Resort, for their generous and ongoing support.”

“The Sober Grad Night celebration is a time tested and essential rite-of-passage in Calaveras County that ensures the safety of our graduating seniors,” said Paul Stein, Philanthropy Consultant for the Calaveras Community Foundation. “It is our good fortune to partner with Black Oak Casino Resort as they routinely invest generously in Calaveras County.   Were it not for this support The Calaveras Community Foundation wouldn’t be anywhere near as successful in assisting worthy causes in our county. “
