Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks will sweep you off your feet with high energy and emotion

Sierra Repertory Theaters Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks is more than just a quick witted dance presentation, it is a journey through the lives of two individuals, with backgrounds so incredibly opposing finding a common ground...friendship.

When Michael Minetti (played by Sean Galuszka) bounds onto the stage the air is sucked from the room as his whirling dervish personality creates a head spinning hilarious rendition of the societal definition of a dance instructor, albeit with quite the sly wit and sharp tongue. Galuszka runs from hot to cold in under 6 seconds, from witty to pouting and pushy to caring, all the while keeping the audience in stitches and shocking them with his language and verve.

Lily Harrison (played by Becky Saunders) is the opposing pole to Galuszka's Minetti, as she is dour, acerbic, and none-too-happy with life in general. The losses she has dealt with in her 60+ years  has left her scarred and unreachable...that is until a wild and crazy dance instructor enters her life.

The play begins with a bang, the actors portraying their parts to perfection, the stage the epitome of a Florida high rise senior condo, and the ocean view from dawn to evening perfection. It loses some speed halfway through as the characters begin to form an odd yet endearing bond. By the second half the speed has once again picked up with strong emotions woven through, bringing you from laughter to tears within minutes, then back to laughter once again.

Bring your tissues and your open mind. This one is an emotional roller coaster.
