Once again, our
customers amaze and humble us. When I sent
out a notice about the Purple Heart Anglers Take
A Vet Fishing event coming up on Melones on
June, 15, calls and e-mails poured in, and many
came to buy prizes and gift certificates for the
vets to win. So many of our customers are
vets themselves, and they really like to support
one another. Hats off to everyone who
offered to the use of their boat, and who
donated prizes. If you have not
volunteered but want to, it's not too
late.
We also need to get the
word out to local vets. If you are
involved in any way with a VFW or VA, or any
other association that offers support to our
vets, please spread the word- we want to provide
the opportunity for them to get a fishing rod in
their hands, and get out on the water. Not
just on June 15, but one a one-one-one basis
when it can be arranged. Purple Heart
Angler also provides opportunities for vets to
enjoy hunting.
