Copper Kinders take a jaunt to the local library

Copperopolis kindergarteners had the opportunity to take a field trip to the local Copperopolis Library on May 30, 2013 to have story time and an introduction to all the library has to offer.

Library attendant Valerie read stories to the enthralled crowd of 46 and took them on a field trip through the library. They learned where books were shelved and what sections they might like. They paid special attention to where the 'kids only' computer is...each hoping to have a chance to try their little fingers on the touch screen computer.

Volunteer Carla Lucas told them all about the summer reading program and gave them all summer reading backpacks and stickers.

The summer reading program is open to ALL ages and begins June 10th. THe summer crafts program begins Wednesday the 13th. The craft program is limited to 12 crafters, any age, so please register with the library in advance at 785-0920.
