Evacuations:	200 Structures with approximately 600 residents living in the Bass Lake Heights community. ***Effective September 15, 2014 at 6:00 PM the Evacuation Order is lifted for the residents along Road 426 at Courtney Lane and Road 426 at Suncrest Drive and all roads adjoining.Residents should remain cautious of fire personnel and equipment working in the area. Some residents in unaffected areas of the fire have been allowed to return home. Oakhurst Community Center, 39800 Fresno Flats Road.

Junction fire in Madera County near Yosemite forces evacuations calls to 13,000 phone numbers

Yet again, a wildfire is burning near California's Yosemite National Park, and residents are being told to leave.
Evacuation orders were sent to about 13,000 phone numbers in central California as sheriff John Anderson declared a state of emergency in Madera County Monday night.
Those phone calls went to homes and businesses, and it was unclear how many people were included in the evacuation orders, according to sheriff's spokesperson Erica Stuart.

Have a horse trailer, pasture, cow trailer? You may be able to help displaced animals from the RIM fire.

Currently there are areas in the vicinty of the RIM fire that are under advisory of possible fire danger, which means these areas have not been evacuated but may be affected adversly by the fire. Those who live in an advisory area have the option to leave or stay. Some are wishing to leave but have livestock to move.

This is where you may be able to help.

The Tuolumne County Animal Control is creating a list of trailer/pasture owners for the possible eventuality of moving livestock from the fire area. You can call and leave your name, number and size of trailer as well as size of pasture (if available) and if they receive a call of a livestock owner in need of assistance they will give that owner your name and number. Coordinating moving of the animals will be between the trailer/pasture owner and the livestock owner. Animal Control would like to be clear that this is not an Animal Control operation. This is a "people helping people" operation they are simply maintaining a list of resources and matching them to the needs.

If you would like to be added to the list of possible livestock movers please call 984-1338 and be brief as they would like the lines to stay open for emergency calls also.

DO NOT go into the fire area on your own.

Ramsey Fire update from Forest Service 8-13-12 400 acres 20% contained

The Ramsey Fire is located on the Calaveras Ranger District on the north slope of the North Fork of the Stanislaus River between the town of Dorrington and Cabbage Patch Maintenance Station. The fire was discovered at 2:45 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2012 and is believed to be caused by an escaped campfire. Some vacation cabins and permanant residences are in the area of the fire, but are not in danger at this time. There are no evacuations at this time.

Vegetation Fire near Ironstone in Murphys

Multiple crews are on scene and more have been called out to a wild land fire near Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. The Gazette will update as soon as more information is available.
