Strike teams forming for Coulterville Fire

Strike teams from Calaveras County and Tuolumne County are forming up for a vegetation fire in  Coulterville.
According to Tri county fire, ems and police FB, Highway 49 just south of Coulterville for a fire near Mary Harrison Mine Road is closed.
Location of fire HWY 132 and 49.

Quick work of vegetation fire in Diamond XX

An approximate two acre vegetation fire is now contained on Buckhorn and Wagonwheel in Diamond XX, and air support has been called back to Columbia Air Attack Base.

It is unknown at this time the cause of the fire.

A VEHICLE WAS TOWING A CAMPER TRAILER UP THE GRADE WHEN IT CAUGHT FIRE.  THE FIRE SPREAD INTO NEARBY BRUSH TYPE VEGETATION WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.

Vegetation fire Hwy 4 started by vehicle fire

A vehicle fire turned vegetation fire scorched over 5 acres and caused traffic to be reduced to one way this afternoon.
The call toned out at approximately 2:30. Multiple agencies and aircraft were dispatched.

Vegetation fire behind Staples Sonora

6-25-14 A vegetation fire has been reported behind Staples on the North side in Sonora.

Unofficial reports state that 108 is closed.

Vegetation fire on Horseshoe in Diamond XX

A vegetation fire was called in for Horseshoe in Diamond XX at approximately 4:21 and was quickly contained.

Immediately following that call was a medical aid.

A report of a vegetation fire has been received at 2:20 pm 6-16-14 at MIlton Rd and Hwy 4.
Emergency crews responding.

Veg fire quickly doused on O'Byrnes

A small vegetation fire on O'Byrnes Ferry near the Sierra Conservtion Center that occurred earlier this morning, 6-16-14, was quickly doused by CalFire and Sierra Conservation crews.

Vegetation Fire responsible for power outage

A vegetation fire was reported at approximately 8:40 am 6-2-41 with possible power lines down.

The source of the fire was a power line fire that allegedly began in Peoria flat and traveled up the power line to Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) fire camp starting a small vegetation fire and leaving the town of Copperopolis and some surrounding areas without electricity.

CalFire and SCC firefighters made quick work of the 3 acre fire and had containment at approximately 11 am.

PG&E had power restored to most of Copper just after noon however PG&E trucks are still on scene at SCC and the SCC is using emergency power backup.

According to CDCR PIO Lt Kelsey, all programs during the time of the fire were shut down and emergency head counts were completed for staff and inmates.

Total personnel:

20 calfire
one baseline crew /  8 engines
one helicopter checking lines to make sure additional fires did not travel up the lines
Total 10,000 gallons of water to completely contain and extinguish fire.
