Jack Peek has sadly passed away
Jack Peek passed away on 11/03/2014 at his home in
Copperopolis, CA. He is survived by his wife, Sheila, 7 daughters, 18
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at
Angels Memorial Chapel, 1071 S. Main, Angels Camp on Friday 11/07 at
2:00 p. m.

Linda Sue "Susie" Stevens - has sadly passed away
Linda Sue Stevens passed away at her residence in Copperopolis on
July 21, 2014, she was 66 years old. Born in Henderson Kentucky, Linda
loved her Family, her Dogs and Gardening. She was a hard worker who
enjoyed relaxing at the local Casino’s now and then. Linda is survived
by her Husband Gary Stevens of Copperopolis, sons Troy Bryan McWhirt of
Copperopolis and Sean McWhirt of Douglas Flat, and 7 Grandchildren.

Young Copper Life lost - update
Update: 7-9-14 10:15 am
Angels Memorial has just released the name of the young man in Copperopolis who lost his life yesterday, Tyler Tafjen.
As some of you may have heard, a Bret Harte student and Copper resident lost their life yesterday.
The name has not been released.
Out of respect for the family, the name will not be released without proper authority.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Grief counselors will be available through Live On.

Tonight as with many we are filled with a heavy heart finding out about the passing of a BH student. We would like to first offer our condolences to the family & friends. Then second offer our grief support to anyone who needs it. We are working on a location & time to offer a Teen Peer Support Group asap. Carolyn Diana Ibach known by many as 'Oma' has sadly passed away
Carolyn Diana Ibach, born to Marjorie Christine Grimes-Ibach-Waggoner
and Leonard Gerald Ibach on February 19th, 1948 in St. Louis,
Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 25th in her home in Copperopolis
of heart failure. She was 66 years
young.
Carolyn fully enjoyed her life while in Southern California
during her younger years. She later moved
to Northern California in the 70’s where she was a Cosmetologist for 35 years
and also owned two restaurants. Her
hobbies included skydiving with her grandsons, walking with her precious Corgi
Aniella, sewing, knitting, reading and art.
Her greatest joy was her family. Those closest to her refer to her as
“Oma”or Cari.
She was preceded in death by Marjorie, her mother and her
husband Clarence Waggoner, her father Gerald Ibach and Grandmother Delphia
Grimes. She is survived by, her daughter
Michelle Celillo, her husband Tom, and her grandsons Dominic, Marco and Geno of
Copperopolis, CA.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Party will be held in her
honor and her ashes will be spread at her favorite beaches, as she would always
want to be remembered full of life and beauty within.

Jake Koval memorial to be held in Twentynine Palms
Jacob Andrew Koval, 27, of Yucca Valley, Died March, 3rd.
He was born January 23, 1987 in San Jose, CA. He spent most of his
life in Copperopolis, CA where he met his wife Christine Koval, who he
married in 2009.
Jacob was a certified EMT, Volunteered at his local fire department and
was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He spent his life dedicated
to helping others. He was stationed at 29 Palms MCAGCC in 2009. He had
just returned home from a deployment to Afghanistan a year prior to
his death. He was currently attending DeVry University in Pomona, CA
to become an electrical engineer and was consistently on the deans
list.

Services to be held this weekend for Larry Barnes
Larry Barnes passed away at U. C. Medical Center in Sacramento on March 4th. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 15th at St. Patrick’s Church in Angels Camp; Rosary at 10 a.m. Mass at 11 a.m.
A
Celebration of Life will follow at 1 pm in the Historic Armory at 695 Main Street in
Copperopolis. Refreshments will be served side dishes are welcomed and
appreciated.

Larry Barnes sadly passed away Tuesday March 4, 2014.

Local Marine veteran Jacob Koval dies in apparent DUI hit and run
YUCCA MESA— A man was hit and killed by a suspected drunk driver
Monday evening while riding his motorcycle on Buena Vista Drive.
Sheriff’s investigators say Jacob Andrew Koval, 27, of Yucca Valley, was riding his 2005 Suzuki westbound on Buena Vista Drive just after 5 p.m., when he was struck by a 2001 F-350 pickup truck driven by Ronald Svidergol, 69, of Yucca Valley.
Svidergol was headed eastbound and attempted to make a left turn at Surrey Court, in front of Koval, a sheriff’s investigation concluded. Investigators think Koval attempted to avoid the collision, but hit the front passenger side of Svidegol’s truck. Deputies and firefighters from station 42 in Yucca Mesa arrived to find Koval unconscious.

Shirley Temple Black passes away at age 85
Shirley
Temple Black, who as a dimpled, precocious and determined little girl
in the 1930s sang and tap-danced her way to a height of Hollywood
stardom and worldwide fame that no other child has reached, died on
Monday night at her home in Woodside, Calif. She was 85.
Her publicist, Cheryl Kagan, confirmed her death.

Dean Eddy has sadly passed away
Retired Antioch California Police Officer Dean Eddy passed Away
on February 1, 2014 at his home in Murphys, California with his wife and family
members by his side.
He was a good man who loved his family and friends and was kind to others.
he will be missed by us all.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Arlene.
2 Daughters Pam and Cheryl and a son Steven. Also their children and a
brother Richard Eddy.
Memorial services will be at a later date.

Alice Mae Guidi has sadly passed away
Alice Mae Guidi, Died February 3, 2014 at Avalon Care Center in Sonora.
Wife of Darwin Guidi who died in 2009, and Mother of Four Children:
Daughter-Jeannette (George) Bennett of Angels Camp; Sons- Michael (Raquel)
Guidi of Hathaway Pines, CA; Jim Guidi of Sacramento; and Richard (Barbara)
Guidi of Denver, Colorado.
Alice was a lifelong resident of California and worked as a secretary for
the State of California for over 40 years.
She spent the last 15 years living in Angels Camp, CA
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday February 10, 2014 at 11:00
A.M. at St. Patrick’s Church in Angels Camp.
Entombment will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Mausoleum, Altaville,
CA.

Memorial Services for Deborah Ann Dillashaw
Deborah Ann Dillashaw Wood
Deborah Ann Dillashaw Wood, 57, went home to be with the
Lord January 30, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. She passed in her
home with her sons and husband by her side. Debbie was a beloved Mother,
Noni, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Aunt. Debbie was a lifetime resident of
Angels Camp, where she worked as a manager for two local grocers and then
Bergantz Nursery. At 35 she went back to school to become a CNA and worked
for Hospice for a few years. She is survived by her sons Jeremy (Alicia)
Wood and Jon Wood, granddaughter Mazie Anne Wood, husband Jim Wood,
mother-in-law Ruth Wood, brother Jim (Krista) Dillashaw all of Angels Camp, and
nephews Travis (Kaylee) Dillashaw of Murphys, and Jacob, Jayton and Tanner
Dillashaw of Angels Camp. Debbie was preceded in death by her
parents Harold and Shirley Dillashaw and her father-in-law Leotice “Woody” Wood.
Rosary and service will be held on Saturday, February 8,
2014 at 11:00 am at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in San Andreas. Reception
to follow at the Native Sons Hall in Murphys.

Stephen Lee Olmsted 41 of Sonora, CA passed away on Sunday August 25th, after a mountain biking accident in Mammoth CA on Saturday, August 24th.
Born 8/5/72 Steohen leaves behind his wife Sarah Olmsted and his two daughters Estelle 5 and Aurora 3. He also leaves behind: Mother- Merlyn Riggs,Father- Don Olmsted,Sister- Stephanie Olmsted Cassidy, Brother- Doug Olmsted, Nephews- Connor Cassidy, Caden Minster and Elias Olmsted and many friends.

Nynette Michael Barnes passed away at the UC Davis Medical Center on May 23, 2013 surrounded in prayer by her loving family. At her side during her last rights, and in her final hours were her parents Larry and Sherry Barnes, Brother Mark with his wife & family, her best friend and love Mike Bledsoe and family, Uncle Barry, Aunt Gracie and cousins Cheryl and Erin. Grandma Virginia Jean Olmstead and Aunt Terrea Roberson also stopped in to pray and hold her hand. She is survived by many other aunts, uncles and cousins in the Barnes and Roberson families, and friends that live in distant cities across the country. She has touched the hearts of so many in her travels through life and will be missed by them all.

Thomas Bruntz of Altaville died on Feb. 12, 2013 at
his home after a long illness. He was 83.
He was born in Windsor, CO to Jake & Agness
Bruntz.
Tom served in the Navy for 4 years as a mine
sweeper during the Korean war.
After being discharged from the Navy he met his
bride Geraldine "Jerry" Brunz in Ault, CO. Shortly after getting married
they moved to Calaveras County where Tom worked in the logging industry and as
an Equipment Operator in construction for 50 years. He was always the life
of the party, from line dancing to telling wonderful stories.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine"Jerry", son
Tom(Leah)Bruntz and daughter Terry from Angels Camp, brother Richard Bruntz of
Georgia, brother Robert Bruntz of Indiana, Brother-in-law George Brunz(Jody) of
Minden, NV
Grandchildren: Jason Conrado(Jessica) Angels Camp,
Jenae Lee(Robert) Angels Camp,Emerald Cope Angels Camp,Vanessa Bruntz(Frankie)
of Stockton and Jacob Bruntz(Kim) of Sonora, CA. Ten Great-Grandchildren,
