Copper Gazette surpasses one million views

Though it whizzed right by me, it was brought to my attention that the Copper Gazette, since its inception, has exceeded one million views.

Yes, this little news site, which a few times has received some regional, state and national coverage for my on the scene reporting, has really made its mark in the news. And I have you, the viewer/reader, to thank for this.

Thank you so much for your support over the years; your story ideas, your shares on FB, your pictures, and of course for being a member of this great community we lovingly call Copper.

High traffic on the Gazette

Due to high traffic on the Copper Gazette a limited amount of posts are able to be viewed on the opening page. To view more posts click on 'older posts' in light blue at the bottom of the last post on the main page.

I will also be re-posting the Oak Fire / Pool Station fire photos on the front page for easier viewing.

While many view our little town as a sleepy place to live, it is far from that.
The Copper Gazette attempts to keep you up-to-date with all the happenings and events in our wonderful community with updates every day.

You may also notice an event calendar on the right side beneath all of our wonderful advertisers. This calendar has not only events in Copper but some more interesting ones in our surrounding areas.

The Copper Gazette - YOUR news site

The Copper Gazette knows that Copperopolis is brimming with talent and events, yet our limited staff (who thankfully write for the love of writing) are not able to make it to all the events this town has to offer. This is where you, the viewer, comes in. The Copper Gazette welcomes your photos, stories, and/or news submissions to the site. Lets make this a news site for all!

During this campaign the Copper Gazette has come under fire for not reporting the 'news' on candidates for local and county level seats. This said, it is the full intention of the Copper Gazette to post factual information, when attainable.

It is also, however, the Copper Gazette's stand to write articles and cover stories that promote the lifestyle we live here, the wonderful people that make up our community and the events that make us as strong as we are. Some issues are less pleasant than others, but all-in-all Copper is a wonderful place to live with a vibrant and active community service oriented base of organizations and people.
