One can always expect a beautiful performance by Joni Morris, and this past weekend at the Copperopolis Town Square Concert she did not disappoint.
The weather was perfect and the songs were performed wonderfully with feeling and with some fun added in for good measure.
Joni enjoyed playing to the crowd and the crowd enjoyed her antics.
Local artist Michael Impink once again took the stage during intermission playing some of his own and some newer songs for the crowd. Newer he clarified as being in the 2000's. This got a chuckle.
The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 12118 was selling goodies once again to raise funds for support the troops care packages and takers were not in short supply.

Joni Morris Enthralled Concert-goers at Town Square Concert
Joni Morris has a firm grip on the philosophy of showmanship. Entering the concert at Town Square on Saturday 9-15-12 evening in a horse drawn carriage was just the beginning of her fun loving and energetic show. Singing Patsy Cline, Elvis, and Roy Orbinson avec dark sunglasses Joni had the crowds tapping their toes and smiling from ear to ear.
Dancing was carried out in earnest as was singing along with the well known tunes from our yester- years.
This is the third year Joni has graced the stage at Town Square and if the crowd's reaction was any clue, she will most likely be gracing our stage once again.

Joni Morris September concert at Town Square - a fun music filled evening
When Joni Morris took the stage Saturday September 10, 2011 at the 2nd concert in Town Square's September concert series line-up, with her pink cowboy hat and her well loved cowboy boots, it was clear she was in Copperopolis to have a good time... and a good time was had by all.
Touted as the new 'Patsy Cline' must be a heavy burden to carry, yet Joni hit each, note, each word, and each nuance with amazing perfection and ease.
Mixing it up with a little Johnny Cash and a little Elvis had folks dancing, chatting and just having a great evening.
In her last set Joni invited ALL firefighters, first responders and veterans to please join her at the stage to honor them for their service and devotion to country. The crowd, proud of their hometown heroes, all stood, applauded and sang "God bless America."
The sunset was phenomenal, adding to the beauty of the evening, and the moon did not disappoint either.
What an amazing setting for an outdoor concert.
