4th of July celebration at Copper Fire

The annual safe and sane fireworks event held at Copper Fire will begin at dusk on July 4, 2014 with handouts of popsicles and sparklers in a designated area by firefighters to children beginning at 8:15.

The Volunteer fire department will be purchasing some fireworks for this event, however, they welcome your donations of safe and sane fireworks to add to their display for the whole community to enjoy.

The lighting of the fireworks will be done by Copper Fire Explorers Levi Rollings and Marshall Maness in a designated area to be accessed by fire fighters only.

Please bring your safe and sane fireworks to this event and share with the whole community.

Variously known as the Fourth of July and Independence Day, July 4th has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941, but the tradition of Independence Day celebrations goes back to the 18th century and the American Revolution (1775-83). In June 1776, representatives of the 13 colonies then fighting in the revolutionary struggle weighed a resolution that would declare their independence from Great Britain. On July 2nd, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later its delegates adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson. From 1776 until the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence, with typical festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues.

4th of July patriotic picnic in Angels Camp

Angels Camp Celebrates 4th of July- Retired Navy Captain Tapped to Conduct Ceremony

Angels Camp will host the second Annual Patriotic Picnic on July 4th in Utica Park. The event will be honoring our veterans. Besides the old fashion games, hotdogs and military bands there will also be a formal ceremony at 3 p.m. The Angels Camp Commemorative Committee has asked Jim Dodge to host the festivities.

Looking for some old fashion family fun. Want to be with some great folks and celebrate the 4th of July. Head to Utica park from noon to 5 p.m. Two great military bands, the colors presented, games for kids, free American Flags and free hotdogs and cupcakes for kids. On July 4, 2012 the Copperopolis Fire Protection District held their annual community safe and sane fireworks display. The community brought in their purchased fireworks, combined with fireworks purchased by the volunteer fire association to put on a 45 minute show for the 200+ people in attendance.

San Andreas – Each year illegal and misused fireworks cause serious injuries and damaging wildfires. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is taking a zero tolerance stand against anyone possessing, transporting or using illegal fireworks. The penalties for possessing, transporting or using illegal fireworks ranges from a misdemeanor up to felony charges plus the cost incurred for fire suppression.

Copper Fire invites you to a 4th of July celebration!

The Copperopolis Fire Protection District invites the community of Copperopolis to bring their safe and sane fireworks to the CFPD Station #1 on Main Street by dusk on July 4th 2012 for a community firework display.

Bring your fireworks, chairs, friends and family. Come enjoy the sparkling evening with ice cream pops for the kids, donated by Umpqua Bank.

The firefighters will set up and set off all fireworks at a safe distance and in accordance with regulations.
