Local Sports Academy opening this Spring - by Kristina Zimmerman

Although summer may seem far away, it will come quicker than we expect. With summer can come great opportunities, and Steve Apodaca is giving out a major one.
Premier Sports Academy, a camp that is full of sports for intermediate and advanced students.
Steve has played Triple A baseball for the Padres organization, coached two different baseball teams of 18 and older for national championship, played football, baseball, and basketball in high school, and has had scholarships for both baseball and basketball.
“Sports is my passion” Steve replies with when asked why he wants to do this camp. He says he wants to continue with his passion and give back to the community.
The camp will begin in the spring, and continue over summer. It will be throughout both Calaveras and Tuolumne county. There will be and intermediate camp and and advanced camp. But that’s not all, for any beginning players, the camp will offer one-on-one instruction!

How is Steve doing this, you may ask? He is not only doing this with his experience, but with his coaching staff. Each member of his coaching staff are experienced with the sport they coach, meaning that there is a specific staff for baseball, football, basketball, etc. Steve wants to do nothing but provide for this community and this camp is a great way to do so!
