Copperopolis has new Cub Scout Pack!

Copperopolis can proudly say they have a new Cub Scout Pack.

Cub Scouts begins for boys entering the 1st grade. The boys meet once a week in their "den" which is a group of boys of the same age at a leader's home, and once a month at the "pack" meeting which is all the age groups together, and it is currently at Black Creek park.

The new Scout Master is Casey Bridwell, and some trained volunteer parents are "den leaders" for the individual dens.

For information of the new pack please call Heather Oliver at 785-6301 or at heatheronthemoor@yahoo.com.

The current dens are Tiger, Bear, Wolf, and Webelos. After Webelos, the boys will move on to the Boy Scouts.

On Saturday August 10, 2013 the pack held their first fundraiser of the year - a car wash - to help the boys raise money for uniforms and patches. "They worked so hard! We raised enough to buy uniform shirts for all of the boys who helped!"

"We would like to thank Century 21 realty office for letting us use their parking lot for our car wash and for being so amazing all day, and even bringing their car to get washed!"

The new pack will be having a recruitment meeting at Copper School on September 10th at 6:30 pm, and flyers will be sent home from school with all the details!

"Thank you Copperopolis so much for supporting our boys as they get started with our new pack! This is the first pack in Copperopolis in 2 years!"
