Chosen as 2013 class Valedictorian, Adam's speech spoke to his classmates of their gifts that will lead them through the next stage of life and the adventure just around the corner. He spoke of the fear of being away from everything familiar as they begin their fresh start in life, yet reminded them that they are never truly alone quoting Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Taylor closed his speech with, "Follow your ambitions and drive forward to your goals. God has got your back."
Adam was also the recipient of the Scholastic Excellence Award from the Untied States Marine Corps for academic achievement and leadership and was nominated for the United States Air Force Academy by Senator Barbara Boxer.
