Tryon to run for re-election

District 4 Supervisor Tom Tryon has announced that he will seek re-election for the District 4 Supervisor seat. One time District 5 Supervisor Russ Thomas has expressed interest in running for the District 4 seat and has taken out papers to file; petition in lieu forms.
Petition in lieu forms are required to get signatures to offset filing fee, petition signatures can be used toward filing fee and as nomination signatures. Thomas will need a minimum of  20 nomination signatures. The County elections office suggests each candidate collect more nomination signatures to take into account questionable validity of some signatures, thus guaranteeing 20 valid signatures.
