City of San Francisco Raises its Minimum Wage to $9.92 per Hour

San Francisco Ordinance — Minimum WageThe San Francisco 2011 city minimum wage will increase to $9.92 per hour, effective January 1, 2011. The ordinance requires a poster that must be displayed in each workplace in English, Spanish, Chinese and any other language spoken by at least five percent of the workforce. The poster is updated annually by the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement. The ordinance further provides that a notice containing the employer's name, address and telephone number must also be given to every employee at the time of hire.
