Wednesday work party at the Community Garden 7-8:30 pm

Good news!

We have plenty of trimmed red onions to send to the Copper Food Pantry for distribution on Thursday.

And....we have an entire row of white onions that await harvesting!   So, come join us Wed eve for a bit of work, examine the new location of the raised bed and hopefully help transplant the sweet peppers.

Lots to look at and see - come for a visit!

In other news - we submitted a request to the Lake Tulloch Lions.  It was a bit of a 'challenge' request:  we've set aside $400 to initiate several projects in the garden, and we requested $800 from the Lions.   This will let us cut our water usage, extend our growing season, and make a strong effort to 'burn out' the Morning Glory by covering the north half of the garden in clear plastic.   We are hopeful to receive good news from the Lions after July 4th.

And finally.....At the suggestion of friends more 'security-minded' than your poor scribe, I have tried to send this message out to the group suppressing email addresses - you can see your own but not the rest of the group.

Please let me know if this is a benefit to you, or of no matter.

Thanks!

Richard and George
