People v.
Marlinda B. Russo, Case No. 12F5598
DEFENDANT RUSSO
FOUND GUILTY OF BURGLARY
Today
a Calaveras County jury found Defendant Marlinda Russo guilty of second degree
burglary and receiving stolen property, both as felonies. The burglary occurred at the Lake Tulloch
Resort. Deputy District Attorney Seth
Matthews said: “The jury viewed some
video evidence of Russo helping a co-defendant to steal items and drive away
from the Lake Tulloch Resort.” The some
of the items were recovered at a motel and a “Gentlemen’s Club” in
Jamestown. The Defendant was arrested at
that club where she worked. The trial
lasted two and a half days. The Court
ordered the Probation Department to prepare a report and recommend a
sentence. Sentencing was scheduled for
August 11, 2014. The Defendant remained
out of custody. She was released on her
own recognizance upon certain conditions, including a search waiver for stolen
property.
The co-defendant, Christopher Jorge,
pled guilty to second degree burglary.
He was sentenced in March 2013 to 196 days jail and probation.
