Bret Harte FHA brings pumpkins to Foothill Village

BRET HARTE FHA-HERO CHAPTER BEGINS NEW YEAR

The FHA-HERO Bret Harte Union High School Chapter got underway this year with a slate of new officers. The club met earlier this month and the following were appointed:

President: Kayla Houle, Vice President: Emma Brown, Treasurer: Madison Ratto, Secretary: Taylor Myers, Historian: Crystal Houle, Reporter: Kyle Lehrer

In October, about 10 Chapter members visited the seniors at Foothill Village Senior Living in Angels Camp and delivered hand-drawn decorated miniature pumpkins. Many of the seniors were pleasantly surprised and appreciated seeing so many festive-like pumpkins. “It brought many smiles to our faces and the seniors as we passed out these cute little pumpkins,” said President Kayla Houle.

The club traveled to its first regional meeting at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills to learn more about the goals of FHA-HERO and the responsibilities of the leadership team.
FHA-HERO was founded in 1945 and its mission is to promote personal growth and development through family and consumer science.
