* IMPACTS: WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS LIMITED TO SIERRA PASSES.
WIDESPREAD RAIN AND FALLEN LEAVES MAY LEAD TO SLICK ROADS AND
CLOGGED DRAINS.
* TIMING: STEADY PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD OVER INTERIOR NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA TONIGHT AND TUESDAY. SHOWERS EXPECTED OVER THE AREA
ON WEDNESDAY...LINGERING INTO THURSDAY OVER THE SIERRA NEVADA.
* RAINFALL AMOUNTS: ONE-QUARTER TO THREE-QUARTERS OF AN INCH OF
RAIN POSSIBLE IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY...AN INCH OR TWO OF RAIN
POSSIBLE IN THE FOOTHILLS AND MOUNTAINS.
* SNOWFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT: SEVERAL INCHES OF WET
SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE SIERRA PASSES. THREE TO SEVEN INCHES
POSSIBLE OVER HIGHER REMOTE ELEVATIONS NEAR LASSEN PARK...AND
UP TO 4 INCHES OVER THE SIERRA NEVADA. SOME ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE ON WEDNESDAY.
* SYNOPSIS: WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION DEVELOPING LATER TONIGHT AND
SPREADING OVER INTERIOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ON TUESDAY.
