The Sonora Police Department has been handling most parking issues on a complaint driven bases. Recently, there has been a large increase with people parking in loading zones for extended periods of time, parking in red zones, fire lanes, and parking in permit parking spaces without having a permit.
As time allows, officers have been stepping up enforcement on these specific violations. So remember to obey all parking regulations. Just because there is no “official” parking enforcement officer, doesn’t give you an excuse to violate parking regulations.
