Snow over the passes Tuesday thru Wednesday

...PRECIPITATION RETURNS TO INTERIOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TONIGHT
INTO THURSDAY...

*  IMPACTS: WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS LIMITED TO SIERRA PASSES.
   WIDESPREAD RAIN AND FALLEN LEAVES MAY LEAD TO SLICK ROADS AND
   CLOGGED DRAINS.

*  TIMING: STEADY PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD OVER INTERIOR NORTHERN
   CALIFORNIA TONIGHT AND TUESDAY. SHOWERS EXPECTED OVER THE AREA
   ON WEDNESDAY...LINGERING INTO THURSDAY OVER THE SIERRA NEVADA.

*  RAINFALL AMOUNTS: ONE-QUARTER TO THREE-QUARTERS OF AN INCH OF
   RAIN POSSIBLE IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY...AN INCH OR TWO OF RAIN
   POSSIBLE IN THE FOOTHILLS AND MOUNTAINS.

*  SNOWFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT: SEVERAL INCHES OF WET
   SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE SIERRA PASSES. THREE TO SEVEN INCHES
   POSSIBLE OVER HIGHER REMOTE ELEVATIONS NEAR LASSEN PARK...AND
   UP TO 4 INCHES OVER THE SIERRA NEVADA. SOME ADDITIONAL
   ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE ON WEDNESDAY.

*  SYNOPSIS: WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION DEVELOPING LATER TONIGHT AND
   SPREADING OVER INTERIOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ON TUESDAY.
   PRECIPITATION TURNS SHOWERY WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. SNOWFALL
   ACCUMULATIONS NEAR AND ABOVE THE SIERRA PASSES ESPECIALLY LATE
   TUESDAY AND INTO WEDNESDAY.
