Aguayo claimed he had fallen asleep while driving. Aguayo nor his female passenger was injured as a result of the collision. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been a factor in the collision. However, Aguayo did have a suspended driver’s license.
PG&E responded as well as City Public Works. A road closure took place from the time of the incident until the power pole can be replaced.
