TRACY — Amazon plans to hire more than 200 additional permanent full-time employees at its 1.2 million-square-foot fulfillment center in Tracy.
The
online retailer says it needs more workers to keep up with growing
customer demand. Amazon spokeswoman Ashley Robinson said the Tracy
facility employs “hundreds of associates,” but she declined to be more
specific.
Last year, Amazon opened a giant fulfillment center in
Patterson. It recently leased space in Redlands for its fifth California
center, expanding its warehouse space in the state to nearly 5 million
square feet.
