This year, two Twisted Oak wines earned top honors:

2009 "River of Skulls" won a Gold medal, and also earned Best of Class
for a wine based on the Mourvedre grape. The River of Skulls is made
from 100% Mourvedre grapes grown at the Dalton Vineyard near Angels Camp

- and 2009 "The Spaniard" also won a Gold medal. The
Spaniard is our signature blend made from Tempranillo, Graciano, and
Garnacha grapes grown in our own vineyards at the winery in Vallecito,
