(San Andreas, CA) On 1/14/2012 Calaveras Sheriffs Deputies received a report of a vehicle burglary at the
fishing access off of Highway 12 west of San Andreas. The vehicle's window was shattered, which enabled the
suspects to gain entry. A purse containing credit cards, keys, prescription medications, and other items was
stolen.
Later that evening Calaveras Sheriff s deputies and Angels Camp Police officers were advised that the credit
cards that had been stolen from the vehicle during the burglary were being used at Rite Aid drugstore in Angels
Camp. Deputies, along with Angels Camp officers responded to Rite Aid and began an investigation. During the
investigation it was determined that the suspects had used the stolen credit cards to obtain goods at Rite Aid,
Angels Nails, Save Mart and Altaville Market. The items purchased on the stolen credit cards included alcoholic
beverages, DVD movies, food, cigarettes, a $100.00 gift certificate, and other items. Deputies and officers were
able to obtain video surveillance from two of the stores of the suspects committing the crimes.
While this investigation was in progress deputies and officers were advised that the suspects were back inside
Save Mart attempting to use the cards a second time. Two female suspects, identified as Elizabeth Perry (27) of
Concord, and Amanda Bulcao (25) also of Concord, were contacted by the investigating officers and
subsequently arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property.
The investigation continued, which led law enforcement to World Mark Timeshares in Angels Camp where the
suspects had rented two rooms. A third suspect, identified as John Steven Clark (35) of Rio Vista was also
identified as a suspect and was arrested inside one of the timeshare rooms. Inside the rooms and the suspect
vehicles the investigating officers located the stolen purse, credit cards and keys. They also located the items
that had been purchased by the suspects using the stolen credit cards. During the investigation the officers
learned that Clark is on parole out of Contra Costa County for burglary, and was recently released from state
prison as part of the State's Assembly Bill 109 program. During Clark's arrest the officers located suspected
methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe on his person. The officers were able recover approximately
