SAN ANDREAS, CA – Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital’s Interim President Patti Monczewski announced that the Copperopolis Family Medical Center will undergo scheduling changes, beginning Jan. 23, 2012. The Family Medical Center will be open three days a week, opening 30 minutes earlier for lab draws. closing for lunch 12:00 – 1:00)
"Serving the families in Copperopolis and the surrounding areas is a vital part of our healthcare mission," said Monczewski. "Both Dr. Nadler and nurse practitioner Marty Eppenberger will continue to provide patient care at the Copperopolis Family Medical Center. Likewise, Dean White, LCSW, and Tim Rourke, Ph.D, remain available for counseling services. We remain committed to providing quality healthcare and excellent customer service as we make adjustments to best meet the volume at our five Family Medical Centers."
Effective January 23, 2012, the hours of the Copperopolis Family Medical Center will be changing as follows.
- New days of operation: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
- The Copper FMC will be closed Wednesday and Thursday
- Providers see scheduled patients 9:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. (
- Laboratory draws begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
"We have heard from patients, especially those who cannot eat or drink before a blood draw, that waiting until 9 a.m. is uncomfortable as well as difficult for those heading to work," notes Dr. Jerrold Nadler, a physician at the Copperopolis Family Medical Center. "Our hope is that patients undergoing laboratory work will find some relief with the earlier opening. Marty and I regret any inconvenience to our patients."
It is recommended that patients make an appointment by calling 754-2968. Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital staff will work to identify an appointment that best suits the patient’s schedule and location need as well..
